In the world of network infrastructure, matching your system to the technology and end-users it's supporting has grown to be a rather difficult and expensive task. With devices changing at such a rapid pace, how do you plan on keeping up with demand? In this week's episode, I wanted to discuss the concept of subscription-based services, specifically, two reasons why you should consider a managed WiFi system.

What's going on, everybody? My name is Danny. Welcome to "The WiFi Minute."Today's topic: Two reasons why you should consider a managed WiFi system. All right, let's put 60 seconds up on the clock and let's go.

Number one, aligning your WiFi system with your hardware cycles

Devices today have a 12 to 18 month lifespan before a new version comes out. On top of that, you just never know what your end user's are going to be bringing on your network next.

The current WiFi system lasts between 36 to 48 months. The problem is, most businesses don't realize this, and they end up trying to support the latest devices with an outdated WiFi system that's over five years old.

With a managed WiFi system, you can guarantee you're always gonna have the latest infrastructure in place to support the latest devices being used. This is because your entire system will be refreshed every 36 to 48 months, perfectly within the optimal limits.

Two, update management

Every wireless system requires regular firmware and software updates. These updates, if forgotten or done incorrectly, will have a serious impact on the performance of your network.

With a managed WiFi system, you'll have a team of certified experts who live with the system every day, who understand what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and exactly how to do it to keep your system operating at its best.

Wireless is a utility, like electricity or water. It's a fundamental requirement for every business to operate. The problem is, few organizations have the skill-set or time to support the changing needs.

It's both a financial and technical challenge to continuously keep up with demand. And that's why deploying a managed WiFi system is the perfect solution.
